The Voice is Back! Team…?

The voice returned this week with the same humor we love from Blake and Adam and two new coaches, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.  I’ve watched The Voice since it’s first season. I love the blind auditions, I love the positive aspects of this show and how it focuses on building people up, not making fun of those who don’t make it.   And I love the new blood in the judges this year.  I think Pharrell Williams was phenomenal in the first episode, and I loved how he talked to the contestants.  One thing he said in particular that stood out to me, as a writer:

“When someone tells you no, it doesn’t mean you stop.” —Pharrell Williams

It’s tough to continue forward when you question your work, your abilities, your talent — we’ve all been there. I love how Pharrell handled the show.  And Gwen was fun and had great chemistry with everyone.  I loved Usher and Shakira when they came on the show, so I’ll be interested to watch how these new judges are throughout the season.

This guy had amazing emotion in his voice, his presence…and the tears afterward too. 😉

Team Blake: James David Carter

Great voice. Sexy as hell. ‘Nuff said.

Team Blake: Allison Bray

She’s a return from a previous year, and she’s much improved. I think her song choice this time was much more suited to her voice, her style.  Really liked her song.
