There are many times I can look back on with groans and grumbles about how I handled a situation (or didn’t handle it, as the case may be some times.) There are plenty of days, weeks, months —a year or two in my early twenties — where you think, “If I had only done this instead…”
But if I’d done “this” instead, where I would be today?
That’s a gamble I’m not willing to take with my life. And whenever I see this question as a blog post prompt, I always come back to exactly that. Sure, changing those moments that mortify us decades later seems great. But not if all of those moments built up to create the moments I am lucky enough to have today.
Because I wouldn’t change a thing. What about you?
