Thank you, Randy Pausch.

by Jeannie Ruesch

I read the news earlier this morning that Randy Paush, author of The Last Lecture, has passed away.  For those of you who don't know this man or about his lecture, he is a man who, after being told his cancer was incurable and he would die, spent the remainder of his days trying to bring inspiration to others.  He devised The Last Lecture, one lecture in a series offered from the school, Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a professor.  However his Last Lecture truly was that and he shared with the 400+ students and the camera that filmed it some life lessons that he learned.

I watched this video after seeing Randy on a primetime show (I believe it was 20/20) and will always be grateful to him for his words of wisdom, his humor and his unfailing spirit.

For those who haven't seen the video or read the book, here is a link to a previous post I did with the video in it:

As well, for anyone who comments (I know you're out there!) I will select one person at random to win a copy of his book, courtesy of me and my way of saying thanks to a man who was, is and always will be an inspiration.

God be with you, Randy, and my sincerest condolences to your family.
