This was my favorite quote as a child. I took it to heart. Which, at the age of six, meant I believed I could become the World’s Greatestest (hey, I was six) Novelist.
I wrote her first story at the age of the six, prompting her to give up an illustrious, hours-long ambition of becoming a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader and declare that writing was her destiny. I wrote my first book in 7th grade… all handwritten, front and back pages. And when I say in 7th grade, I mean in class. In English. My teacher finally gave up and just graded me on the curve.
I’ve since published 3 novels set in my Willoughby Family series, a book about siblings who find love, adventure and more than a little danger in Regency-set England. While I’m taking a break from publishing fiction, I’m still a reader at heart and working in a career in marketing.
I live in North Carolina with my husband, our son and two very needy dogs.
