I’m a quote junkie. I believe they offer just the right shot of inspiration often times when we need it most. They remind us of the people who have walked our path before and come out the other side. They also help battle those stories we tell ourselves about where we are on the path and where we’re going. Like this one from Oprah (this one’s just a bonus quote 😉):
“Every time you state what you want or believe, you’re the first to hear it. It’s a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don’t put a ceiling on yourself.” — Oprah Winfrey

As a writer, the whispers that question every step of what we do can be relentless, so I wanted to build a post that shared some inspiration and positivity to keep you going and quiet the whisper monster.
We often say things —internally or out loud — about ourselves and that will eventually define what we think we’re capable of. I had a friend who was really good at being negative about herself. So I would challenge her, every time she said something negative, to counter it with 7 positives. Yup, I was that annoying friend but it worked. It made her smile.
So here I am, your annoying friend, offering 7 positive quotes to counter whatever negative thought might creep into your head as you start writing your first book. Be sure to tweet your favorite:
