What I love about the Cover
I saw this book while perusing the “shelves” on Amazon. I’m a sucker for blue, so that is probably what drew me in.
But what I noticed first was the empty bench and the image of the person blurred at the top left. The loneliness of the bench, the sense of someone disappearing off the cover… when matched with the title, “Who We Were Before”, it gives you an idea of what you might find inside the story.
The other element of the cover that catches my eye is how much of the real estate of the cover is focused on the reflection in the shimmery street. You get the feeling that this story has a strong focus on the past, on things remembered.
Since my Cover Love posts are based solely on the covers and not reading the book, I can’t tell you for sure if what I see on the cover matches what the story is about. From the description, I see all the elements I would expect from the cover. Every good cover tells a story about your book… this story makes me want to read more.
