Elizabeth and NuJason (aka Billy Miller) shared scenes this week as Jason woke up and so far, they’re pretty amazing! We’ve had blurry flashbacks as Jason struggles to remember, emotional moments as they talk about Jake, definite moments of connection —and Jason LAUGHED! Already keeping my fingers crossed that this version of Jason will do more than blink.
The moments with Jake were incredible. And as a longtime #Liason fan, I have to say it did my heart good to see them connect over their little boy, even if Jason doesn’t remember and Elizabeth doesn’t know he is Jason. And I loved that we got flashbacks from original Liason, to showcase the long, long history these two share. Liz is getting great point of view already, and we’re seeing things from her side.

I have seen mention on some of the fan boards that Liason 2.0 is bringing in new fans, so … could this couple be building to stay? I am crossing my fingers and toes (and keyboard keys if I could!) that finally, after so many years, I’ll see one of my favorite soap couples get the love story they’ve always been meant to have.

I am loving this reunion so far. I go into this expecting it to take the Road to Nowhere soon. Jason is married after all and has a son he has never met. That has to be dealt with. However, Billy and Becky together has long been a saop dream of mine. I will take as much of them as I can get. In the meantime, I will tweet and Facebook FV, GH and anyone who will listen that Liason deserves their story to be told. Do I have any faith in RC to write it? Absolutely not? Look what he has done with Liz so far? While Sam has enjoyed three romances that had some build up and were actually acknowledged as relationships what has Liz been given? She dated Ewen who seemed like the perfect match for her,but was using her instead. She opened her heart to Jason only to have him turn her away. She tampered with a DNA test and had to apologize to everyone. She dated AJ who cheated on her the first chance he got. She reconnected with Nikolas and then wouldn’t commit to him, she had a ONS with Ric of all people. I hold out no hope for my favorite girl to have anything more than some really good air time and the chance to maybe get some closure with Jason. What I want would be for Jason to realize he has changed, no longer wants to stay with Sam, and come begging for Liz to forgive him. Then again, RC doesn’t do happy endings, which is why I quit watching OLTL when he was in charge. I will watch every single bit of Liason I can get though and HOPE for the best!
Karen, I totally agree. Liz has not had the best of track records with her love life. She’s had a lot of beginnings and endings, but very little “middle” since Lucky left. And seriously, the DNA test tampering was so infuriating. I know she admitted and fixed it in less than 24 hours, but still… that she did it at all.
I will say, though, that so far, Liz is being written REALLY well in this story. She’s being given a POV, Liz and Jake are equally responding to each other, she’s being a smart, caring nurse, building a fun, good friendship with him…. So far, their scenes have been amazing.
And I also believe that Liz telling Nik she was tired of the merry go round and wouldn’t be a second choice was really important for her character. She stepped out of the drama, which was HUGE. So I’m remaining optimistic that her growth will stay intact when the truth about Jake being Jason comes out.
And IA — Jason/Sam will reunite, they have to at some point — but I’m hoping for the same. That Jason/Sam have changed too much and will end things. Then Liz/Jason can finally have their life together. I was never a fan of Jason/Sam, I don’t like what that relationship did to her — I enjoy her FAR more when she’s in other realms.
I love this! He isn’t the same Jason – Billy Miller has emotions on screen. Okay, I am biased – I have wanted Billy Miller on GH since he left Y&R and initially hoped that he’d play Lucky with Liz. But I am soooooo happy with the Liz and Jason/Jake scene’s we’ve been given. I WANT MORE PLEASE! Yes, let Siam have their happy ending and let Jason/Jake be with Liz. “Cyborg” Jason is gone – let’s get a chant going and hope for more Becky/Billy – they are perfection on screen!
Cyborg Jason is most definitely gone! He’s had a lot of lighter moments but after yesterday’s scenes with Michael, I saw more Jason there, too. I think when Jake regains his Jason memories, he’ll be a mix. But I think Stone Cold is gone.
