J.K. Coi

J.K. Coi lives in Ontario with her husband and son. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in history and in law, and has worked for many years in the legal field, where her current focus is intellectual property law.Writing has always been an important part of her life, and when she leaves the office, she leaves all of that behind to immerse herself in a world of fantasy—of demons and magic, fascinating warriors, and the women strong enough to love them.

When she isn’t spinning exciting tales of love and adventure, you’ll find J.K. Coi cheering on her son at the soccer field, or watching her husband play hockey. She also likes to paint and create beautiful treasures with stained glass.

To date she has been published with Linden Bay Romance and is pleased to be a part of their family of authors.

J.K.'s favourite happy ending from a book…

I like endings that are happy, but not the kind that leave you feeling ripped off because they're just a little too tidy. With that in mind, I think the ones that stick with me the best are those that don't try to pretend life isn't going to be hard just because you're in love. And since I'm a die-hard paranormal fan, JR Ward's Lover Eternal was one of those books.

In the end, even though the hero and heroine (Rhage and Mary) love each other and get to be together, the reality is that Mary will still never be able to have children of her own. She isn't magically healed just because the author wanted a happy ending. And yet it IS a happy ending.
