Exciting Stuff
My releases are coming up fast. Next week I’ll have two. The first one is my novella, Fear of Darkness on December 17th from Red Rose Publishing. That one some of you might know about. My second release is Biohazard on December 18th from Breathless Press. It was kind of a surprise, because I hadn’t planned on selling it. It was supposed to be a free read. So I haven’t gotten to talk much about it.
So of course with my releases coming out I’ve been lining up guest blogs. I have guests on my blog and I’ll be guest blogging other places. My whole week has been crazy. I had two days where all I did was schedule and reply to emails. I’m also struggling to write all these blogs. I think marketing a book takes ten times longer than writing the book, and its less fun.
Here are the places I’ll be:
December 14th – Anne Kane’s Weblog
December 15th – Dark Cravings Blog
December 16th – Sizzling Releases
December 17th and 18th – Eve Summers’ Blog
December 22nd – Wicked Little Pixie
December 23rd – The Tales of the Rikashi
And you’ll be able to catch almost all of these authors on my blog in the coming days.
I was also thinking of doing some contests, but I think contests add complications that I’m not ready to take on. Plus they’d cost money, unless I give away a copy of my book. But they say not to give away copies of your book until its been out for three months (because that’s when you have the most sales). What do you think of that advice? Should I wait to give out a copy of my book or should I just go for it?
And now I will show you my pretty covers with some blurbs for you to read. Enjoy!

Your statement “I think marketing a book takes ten times longer than writing the book, and its less fun.” is so how I feel.
I took a look at your blogging schedule and thought Oh My Gosh. All of a sudden my todo list looks friendlier.
Love your covers and excerpts. I just recently got into paranormal stories and I’m loving them. Though I haven’t tried writing them yet.
Remember to breath in this hectic month. Wishing you a successful marketing.
Yeah, and I still need to write most of those blogs!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked the covers and excerpts. I’m glad your liking paranormal stories. Good luck writing them if/when you start!
Lol, I am going to have to remember to breathe, because its going to be a crazy month. Luckily my finals are happening this week, so I’ll be done with school and its one less thing I have to do.
I can totally identify with the whole marketing thing taking longer than anything else. My first novel, Stolen Treasures, just came out this week and I feel like I’m awash in promo.
I like the premise for Biohazard. It sounds very intense. They both do, actually. Best of luck to you and I hope the blog tour doesn’t keep you from your next story.
Laurie – Good luck with your promo. I hope you get lots of sales. Yay, I’m glad you like the blurbs. Guess it means I did something right when I wrote them (I’m always worried about that).
Oooh, congrats on your releases! Sorry I couldn’t get by to say so beforehand!
Thanks JK!
