As I perused the yearly list of shows I loved that are no longer, shows I have never watched that managed to get a fiftieth season, and the new shows coming up for next year, I found one called Happy Endings.Β So, of course, I had to watch and because I really enjoyed the preview — and even laughed out loud at one point–I had to share it with you.
Now I could attempt to find some writing-related context to share this video with you, but really, there isn’t one.Β It looks hilarious, it looks like good TV (and if I like it, probably means it will last all of five episodes).Β Here’s a preview:
I also discovered that Tom Selleck is in a new show in the fall called Blue Bloods. Yay! (Love that man…)
So…totally off topic of this blog, what shows are you sorry to see ending? Have you checked out any of the new ones for the fall season? (And for the record, if you’ve watched the ending to LOST, please don’t mention it…I have it still on my DVR.)

5 episodes? Try 4, because I think it’s a good show, too. And mine alwasy get cancelled. Thanks for the peek!
That show looks cute, but it seems more like a movie than a TV series. I like some of the actors in it, so hopefully it will go for a while.
I’m really sad to see Flashforward go. It wasn’t a perfect show, but I really liked the concept, and I thought the writing got better as the season went on. Alas…
That teaser is too funny! I’m glad to say none of my shows bit the dust: Castle, Leverage, Bones, NCIS, Justified, and Chuck. The new Tom Selleck looks promising. I have to admit a certain fond nostalgia for Hawaii Five-O so I’m curious about the remake. The new season will be interesting. I’m always curious what catches on with the public.
I’m still hooked on the NCI’s shows and as far as I know they’ll be back. I’ve been pretty lucky with shows but I hate it when a character gets bumped off.
I’ve heard rumors that Supernatural might be ending. I don’t know if it’s true but I’ll miss those men.
I haven’t checked out new shows for next year. Right now I have my favorites and I’m waiting till fall to really worry about new shows.
@Laurie — Don’t you HATE that? One show I totally loved was Lipstick Jungle, and of course, it got cancelled. I considered the fact that it made it through 2 seasons a good thing.
@Anna — I agree. Hubby and I both watch FlashForward and we’re very sorry to see it go, as well. And I know we’re not going to get answers in a tidy little package, either. So frustrating when they do that.
@Silver. I loved the preview…I hope it’s not just like those movie commercials, though, that put ALL of the humor into the commercial and there’s nothing left in the movie. LOL
I love CASTLE — such a terrific show. Thrilled it’s getting better ratings and a third season pick up.
@Lavada — I don’t think I’ve ever watched the NCI shows. What do you enjoy about them? What station?
@Beth C. — I’ve heard good things about Supernatural. A friend of mine LOVES that show.
I’m something of a show season junkie…not so much about watching them, but I do love my TV. But more about the process of the upfronts, how things are chosen, etc… I find it all fascinating. Just another side of my geek coming out, I’m sure. LOL
This does look good! I’ll definitely watch. My favorite new shows this year were Life Unexpected and Modern Family. I absolutely cannot imagine them NOT renewing Modern Family–if they don’t, then I know who ever is in charge is really, REALLY dumb. And rumor on the internet is that Life Unexpected has been renewed for 12 more episodes! YAY! I’m in the same boat, usually if I like it, it gets cancelled. π
Oh, and I’m not huge on NCIS, but I LOVE NCIS Los Angles. π
interesting preview
