The Post-Thanksgiving Cop Out Links Post

Each one is something I've come across in my own travels, stopped to read and noted down as something that might be of interest to you. I hope you enjoy my Post-Thanksgiving-Cop-Out Link Post (and I promise something with a little more substance coming shortly).

The State of Publishing

EBooks on the Rise

This Publisher's Weekly article discusses how digital delivery/ebooks have helped soar the erotica book.  A great read, and for any ebook/small press author, this quote from editor Kate Duffy makes it totally worth the read:

"The consumers were far ahead of me,” says Kate Duffy, editorial director at Kensington, which launched its erotica imprint, Aphrodisia, in 2006. “For years I thought of e-publishing as something people did because they couldn't publish with us. But then we started seeing all of these stellar talents that had first been e-published. It wasn't that the books were in any way inferior—that was my prejudice. It was a different way of accessing consumers, and it would behoove me to investigate.”

Jeannie, I love your Post-Thanksgiving-Cop-Out Link Post. It’s a change from the usual so while I’ll be looking forward to what you call a posting of a little more substance I think this one is great. There’s a couple of links I want to read this evening when things settle down. Post Thanksgiving – Pre Christmas is always a little crazy around here and when it’s coupled with deadlines it gets even crazier.
